Chick Flick the Musical Industry Reading Wrap-up

"Bahamamammamia" from the Chick Flick the Musical cocktail recipe bookI’ve had a couple of weeks (and a few cocktails — see above) to reflect on the amazing experience we had doing the Chick Flick the Musical Industry Reading, and to quote Meg: “There’s so much to digest!.”

What a week! What a team! And by team I mean everybody who has worked on Chick Flick the Musical this past year helping us get ready for the Industry Reading.

There never seems to be enough time to get everything done, but our amazing reading cast of (Karen); Jennifer C Johnson (Meg); Alli Mauzey (Sheila); and Megan Sikora (Dawn) and Sarah Natochenny (Voiceover/Stage Directions) were up for whatever new pages were being thrown at them! A big thank you to the cast, and to Alison Franck for her fantastic casting work!

It was so great to work with , our Stage Manager again. A shout out to Becca Pickett, our Production Assistant, and the entire team at DR Theatrical Management for a flawless execution of all the reading details.

Of course none of this would have happened without the creative team — our Director Mary Catherine Burke; Assistant Director Tiffany Green; Music Director Seth Weinstein; and Arrangers Matt Castle & Frank Galgano.

A big shout out to Microsoft for work on the Chick Flick the Musical apportal! We distributed tablets to the attendees so they had a hands-on introduction to the interactive Chick Flick the Musical experience:

And finally, thanks to the work of our amazing producers, and of Tilted Windmills Theatricals, our hard work was rewarded with two packed houses at Ripley-Grier Studios!

Oh yeah, and a final shout out to the Foundry Bar at The Westin New York Times Square. I don’t know what I would have done without your Chardonnay and your Buffalo Chicken Bites…
