A little treat for a big day!

Well, today’s Day 1 of our Chick Flick the Musical Industry Reading, and I’m super excited … and a little nervous … but just a little. I’m looking forward to trying a recipe from the upcoming Chick Flick the Musical cocktail recipe book sometime later today — here’s a tasty one from my favorite chick flick ever … and appropriately based in NYC.

The Industry Reading for Chick Flick the Musical will be in NYC at Ripley-Grier Studios (520 8th Avenue) on Thursday, January 14th at 3pm; and Friday, January 15th at 11am.

It’s directed by Mary Catherine Burke and choreographed by , and features (Shrek the Musical; Annie); Jennifer C Johnson (Volleygirls the Musical); Alli Mauzey (Wicked; Hairspray; Cry Baby); and Megan Sikora (Curtains; Promises, Promises; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying). It’s 90 minutes, no intermission and it’s done as a standard Equity 29-hour reading.

Producers are and of Tilted Windmills Theatricals, and the Music Director is my long-time collaborator Seth Weinstein. Vocal arrangements and orchestrations are being done by Frank Galgano & Matt Castle, and Seth Weinstein.
