Chick Flick the Musical Industry Reading on January 14 (3pm) or January 15 (11am)
As they would say in — ’tis but a fortnight until my first big-time industry reading of Chick Flick the Musical!
Working with my amazing production and creative team has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to add the cast next week.
The only thing that could possibly make this even more exciting is if Colin Firth showed up… just putting that out into the universe!
The Industry Reading for Chick Flick the Musical will be in NYC at Ripley-Grier Studios (520 8th Avenue) on Thursday, January 14th at 3pm; and Friday, January 15th at 11am.
It’s directed by Mary Catherine Burke and choreographed by , and features (Shrek the Musical; Annie); Jennifer C Johnson (Volleygirls the Musical); Alli Mauzey (Wicked; Hairspray; Cry Baby); and Megan Sikora (Curtains; Promises, Promises; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying). It’s 90 minutes, no intermission and it’s done as a standard Equity 29-hour reading.
Producers are and of Tilted Windmills Theatricals, and the Music Director is my long-time collaborator Seth Weinstein. Vocal arrangements and orchestrations are being done by Frank Galgano & Matt Castle and they’ve been a great new addition to the team!
Everyone is working really hard to make sure it’s the best version of the show it can be, and I’m having the time of my life! A big shout-out to Tilted Windmills Theatricals for making this happen!
